Hugh Effo is comprised of Matthew Scotch, John Reid, Jimmy Nickerson, and Hank Smith. Combining aspects of the more driving and technical punk of the 80's and modern garage rock, along with each members' own proclivities, they have developed the butter punk aesthetic; a sculptable sound that can be cut angular or smoothed out but is always delivered at the edge of a knife.
